–  JJ Lavallee performed live for us – some great fiddle and Metis music to stomp your feet to

–  Manitoba Living History Society participated with a wonderful culture display and period clothing

–  George Fayant, Red River Cart Maker – made a replica Red River Cart that is on permanent display at Grants Old Mill

–  Judy Wasylycia – Leis attended the celebration – running for Mayor of Winnipeg

–  Manitoba Minister of Culture – Flor Marcelino – Volunteered to run our merchandise table

–  Sharon Blady, MLA Kirkfield Park – attended

–  Jim Rondeau MLA Assiniboia  – attended

–  Metis Elder Robert Nolin – had a trappers tent set up with a teepee and had bannock and rez dogs served

–  The sound of Scottish Bagpipes filled the air as a pipe band brought many to the celebration – the link between Metis and Scottish Cultures

–  Hot Dogs, drinks, bannock served

–  So pleased to have Mechtild and Michael Morin from Lebret, Sask. attend
